This is a growing page for detailed instructions and printables needed to make our Book Report Lapbooks. We’re working on this section as we go through various books in our homschool journey.
I Stink Lapbook I Stink is a book by Kate and Jim McMullan that takes children along the morning route of a garbage truck. My son was enamored with this book, especially the Garbage Truck ABC’s. We made a lapbook to go along with this book which could easily be tied into a “recycling” theme lapbook as well.
Stone Soup Lapbook There are so many different versions of Stone Soup that you could really have some fun with this one. We used the classic “Stone Soup” by Marcia Brown for a baseline for our lapbook. This is a fantastic tale for children, and can be tied into character education themes as well.
Little House in the Big Woods LapbookThis is a fun lapbook based on the Little House series by Laura Ingals Wilder. Children will be able to follow along with some daily reading suggestions with fun activities to go alongside each theme.
Kit Kittredge: An American GirlThis lapbook is based on the movie and not so much the books. Although you might find that they overlap in parts, this lapbook was put together alongside the movie as a fun way to explore the historical topics presented.
Winnie the Pooh Lapbook This is a lapbook based on the story “Winnie the Pooh and some bees.” There are many beloved Winnie the Pooh stories that some of these printables will work for as well. Please note that the graphics used in this lapbook come with permission from www.DisneyClips.com
