The Ant & The Grasshopper with Bible Verse
The story of the lazy grasshopper and the Hardworking Ants
has been passed down many generations, but what does the
Bible have to say about being lazy?
Print the story of the Ant
and the Grasshopper from here, then use the story and the
Bible Verses from Proverbs 10:4-5 to discuss with children
how we are to work.
This page is full of Free Resources you can use for
making your
Grasshopper Lapbook.  I've also
included custom Minibooks that we made for our
Grasshopper Lapbook. For our Grasshopper Lapbook
we wanted to learn a few different things about
grasshoppers.  You can come up with your own
objectives for the study, but here are a couple of ideas....
  • Where do Grasshoppers live?
  • What is the life cycle of a
    Grasshopper?
  • What are some relatives of the
    Grasshopper?
There are lots of cute Grasshopper stories you can read to go along with your lapbook.  We especially liked...
"Grasshopper on the Road"
by Arnold Lobel and "Inspector Hopper"by Doug Cushman You can learn
more about each book, and see a "Used" price by clicking on the individual titles.
This grasshopper doubles as a fridge magnet. We used a clothespin,
a pipe cleaner, wiggle eyes and a strip of magnet on the back. We
just used markers to make them green, but you could use paint if
you want a deeper hue, and more coverage.
