It’s Snowing Penguins!
By valerie | January 2, 2008
Oh, goodness, what are we to do? Of course the first time I try and have a poll for Little Laplinks, we end up with a Tie for the winner! So it looks like it’s between Snow, and Penguins, and I have to say that I’m going to have to be the tie breaker here, because well….that’s what I’m here for right?
Okay, so I’m going to have to go ahead and choose the Penguin Lapbook. “Why? Do I think Penguins are more important then snow?” ….well, No, not exactly….Penguins and Snow are equally important, it’s just that I already went ahead and made up this Free Penguin Lapbook, for you all to download, and I’m just itching to share it with you
So I hope all of you who voted for Snow this month will easily be appeased when you see that I’ve got an instructional video up and a set of fun printable pages you can use for your Penguin Lapbook……and if you’re really wanting to do Snow….just add an extra folder on the back of your Penguin Lapbook! They do fit quite nicely together as themes.
Here’s my Penguin Links

Now, I made this mainly for my daughter, so it’s in no way…..all inclusive about Penguins! We simply watched “The March of the Penguins”, and read some books from the library. Then I just put together some activities I knew she would like to do, without overwhelming her, as she is only 4. If you have older children, you’ll find it pretty easy to supplement, that’s what’s so great about lapbooking!
Anyway, here’s some more stuff I found!

Ready to Get Started? Lets see what you find!
How to Participate
Search the web and find your links for free resources about Penguins!
(if you have the time)Take a second to visit other participants blogs to make sure you don’t duplicate linksGrab our graphic, and post your blog entry with your links
Come back here and sign Mr. Linky and add a direct link to your blog post (not a link to you hompage on you blog, but a link to your actual post….permalink works and if you need help doing this, just email me)
After your child finishes their lapbook, Edit your original blog entry to add your pictures and such. For example see Melissa’s blog entry she did, she added the finished entry to the bottom of the post. When you do this it keeps it easy for people to find your links and your lapbook, and if you do it this way, I’ll be able to archive your link on my site and send even more traffic your way!
Then, since you’ve already added your link to Mr. Linky (the permalink to the same post) all you need to do is post a comment and let us all know that your lapbook is finished! And then, we’ll come scurring by the truckloads to see what your little one did!

This looks like fun! One question though, does it have to be stuff just for little guys or can it be for older ages also?
Btw thanks for the wonderfully kind comment you left on my blog. I’m so glad you are finding the lapbooks useful.
Have a blessed day!

JoAnn-
Glad you like the idea! Little Laplinks is geared toward early elementry, so anthing K-5 is right on target. If you have children older then that, when you link up just put the words (older) in your link, that way viewers know that you’ll be providing links for older children to participate :)
I can’t wait to go download your Martin Luther King Jr. Lapbook, sounds interesting and what perfect timing :)
In Christ,

Great! I think I might try to adjust it so I can do it with all the kids together. I’ll see what I can come up with.
I guess you weren’t joking when you said you were going to link heavily. LOL I’m so glad you are enjoying them. I hope everyone finds them useful.
Have a blessed day!
