    Penguin Craft

    By valerie | January 10, 2008

Blog-Penguins.gifThis is a penguin craft we did with our Penguin Lapbook!  We had so much fun with this theme, that we’ve kept them hanging up on the wall forever!

Blog-Penguins2.gifWe started with some butcher paper we picked up at Walmart (in the packing section near the paper stuff) and then we used some dollar store shaving cream, and let the kids have fun making their snowy scenes.  Then I sprinkled on some glitter while the kids played with the creams to make it sparkly.

Blog-Penguins3.gifThen, while that was drying, we assembled our penguins.  I simply precut some penguin shapes, which are really easy, you don’t need templates or any of that…..you know what a penguin looks like.  One piece is the body, one piece is the belly, two wings, two feet, and some white circles for eyeballs.  We even cut out some eggs to make baby penguins because after watching March of the Penguins, we just had to make a few of those.

Anyway, if you’re busy working on your penguin lapbook, this is a great activity, and I can’t tell you how proud my daughter was to have her own penguin family displayed on the wall!

    In Christ,

    Valerie
