Our Cricket printables are part of a collective notebooking/lapbooking resources called Alphabugs. This is a great way to work your way through the ABC’s while learning all about amazing creepy crawlies along the way. Our Alphabugs lapbooks are similar in content with some variations, but most contain the following resources: Anatomy, Life Cycle, Habitat, Family, Communication, Bible Verse, Copywork, Crafts, Activity suggestions and more. Additionally, we’ve included a Quilt Square for each insect so you can create a classroom quilt along the way. The quilt squares are a great way to include your younger children as they include a coloring page, handwriting practice, and scissor skills. See how to make a classroom quilt here.

Comb Cricket Craft
This little cricket is soooo adorable, and you can run your fingernails along the teeth of the comb to make the cricket “chrip” You’ll need a black pocket comb, pipe cleander, wiggle eyes, and craft foam. We also used craft wire for the legs but if children want to use their cricket comb I suggest leaving them off.
